I'm also looking for a place to stay, I'm sure that most members of the Boston Chapter are not familiar with the area, so if anyone has knowledge of a good place let us know.

I stayed here this week:

http://www.lodgeatrockhill.com/

COM had arranged an 89 dollar a night rate. Close to the track, reasonably nice.

Dont stay at the super 8. That's where I stayed last month and the place was a dump.

I am staying at the Golden Guernsey bed and breakfast. There is one other room available, double bed, suitable for a single person or a couple. Private bathrooms. Large living area. Half an hour from the track. See other post started by Dan Chadwick on the B&B.

I have it on good recommendation that the Microtel in Middletown is a good option. The places that are closer (other than the expensive place south of the track) have received very mixed reviews. I guess after this first event we can compare cockroaches, er. notes.

I took the advice from Miguel Aponte-Rios, who has been to this track a bunch of times. Perhaps he's of delicate constitution, but I don't think he's staying 15 or 20 miles from the track for nothing.

I am booked to stay there for the event. But the BMW club price is $99/night.

Not to be contradictory but I also stayed at the super 8 last month and found it to be adequate.  It was clean, bed was comfy, and the shower was nice, plus they will give you a BMW club discount for $72 a night, which would be the cheapest in town.  Plus free continental breakfast.

It's your average 2 star motel IMHO.

What was the thread count on the sheets, and did the continental breakfast have Egg Beaters at the make-your-own-omelette station?

LOL. Delicate. Yeah, the guy that camps in the trailer or in the truck whenever the track allows it! I think we all know who the delicate one is........JAMESTOWN!
