Does anyone have any experience/advise for an insurance surcharge appeal? I have the hearing later this week.

I had a one-car accident, skidding on an entrance ramp to 128 on a day with intermittent drizzle and mist when I tapped the brakes in response to a small animal on the side of the road heading towards the road. Hit and jumped the curb which tore up the bottom of the car pretty good.

I've got lots of photos of the site and some weather data.

Yea, just go in and play it straight... they have a record of over turning like 50% of them.

Play the weather card hard.

I have just received a reversal of a sircharge for a minor accrident in November of 2008. I saved more than $250/year for a $35 claime. Go for it!
