Same deal as last time. Must be pre-approved by me. Car must have rollover protection if it is open top. Read below.
Sunday, August 2, 2009
The Porsche Club Northeast Region has decided to open registration to 10 non-members (driving non-Porsches). We are attempting to raise money to upgrade our timing equipment. Normally, the region does not allow non-members who are driving non-Porsche cars, as that is what our membership prefers.
Cost is $50 per person
Events are run very similar to the other clubs.
Usually 8 runs - 60 to 90 second range
Registration details:
-each Non-member MUST email me (autocross registrar) for pre-approval prior to signing up.
-Must be an experienced autocrosser (have completed at least 10 full autocrosses).
-Preregistration by Motorsportreg.com AND payment is required. (you will be turned away if you did not sign up and pay)
-Open top cars must have rollover protection.
-NO REFUNDS!
-Registration closes Wednesday 7/29/09 at 6pm.
Event details and rules can be found on our website under the autocross tab:

We are simply a different region. Immagine if WMC BMWCCA ran autocrosses at Devens. Different organization, but the same national group.
We have different rules, different organizers, etc. Although, most members interchange between both clubs.

Hi Jon,
If you have members with date conflicts not able to attend your events, you could also let them know that if they'd like to attend our events, they certainly can, as long as they are a member (and sign up quickly - as our events fill almost instantly). They don't need to be a BMW driver or owner to join, just a car enthusiast...
I would invite them myself, but it doesn't appear that there is a means to on the NER PCA site.

| You are correct, our website has no means. The BMWCCA website is far more advanced then ours. I will ask our chair to mention your events at ours. I dont get a chance to talk during the drivers meeting, as thats my only chance to walk the course.

| Typically the NERPCA club has a more open course favoring the abilities of the 911's. NCR courses resemble the BMW courses since John MacDonald is the designer for both clubs.
