I know we were all sort of kidding on last AutoX about writing some software for automatic registration for Boston BMWCCA Autox events - similar to e-bay auto-bidding.

Well just this morning of May 29th the registration is up about 12 hours and there is already 108 applied with 100 drivers max capacity. That's not even a full day.

So curious minds out there, now is the time to refresh your coding skills )

Since I am a lazy one, I applied shortly after midnight

I applied at midnight and by the time I had finished typing at 12:01:55, maybe 20 drivers were already there.

I didn't get on it until about 11 this morning, and there were already 80 or 90 people signed up!

Loving the enthusiasm guys!!! I do think it was a record. I REALLY wish we could accommodate more people, but we will not compromise the events to get more people in. We have great long runs and can pretty much guarantee 8 runs (knocks on wood), and we definitely do not want to change that.

Speaking of registering, Larry, I tried to send you a PM and wasn't able to do it.

I had registered for the Autocross school during the last autox after you made the announcement about it.

A few days ago, I cancelled my registration by mistake. When I tried to re-register, it said I was unable to do so because I can only be registered once. I waited a few hours, and was then able to register again. However, I keep checking the "View Registrations" and it still lists me with a status of "cancelled."

Ack! Can you please help? I sent a reply email explaining to the registration confirmation, but I'm not sure who it goes to and haven't heard anything. I'd just hate to have my registration status sitting there as 'cancelled'.

For the fastest response, contact the registrar listed for that event (should be a link on the description page)

We had 30 drivers signed up between midnight and 1 am. Soon enough, all this traffic will be bringing down the website at midnight of autoX registrating opening day
