Looking at the website, I'm wondering if the chapter is planning ice racing events for this winter.  The description in the ice racing section mentions 2006 dates, so its not clear if thats just out of date or if it just won't be happening.

I do know of course that the specific dates can't be set until the ice thickness is known, so I'm just wondering in general for the season.

I had a blast last year, Stan, I can't wait for this season! You guys really did a superb job putting on those events! Over the summer I picked up a '91 325ix and just picked up some new snow tires the other day and all I've been thinking about is Ice Racing...

Cheers,
Brendan

I am very excited as well!  We plan on bringing a whole group of people!  My Brother his GF, Tim and possible his wife, My Dad finally who I don't think has gone in 10 years in his mini Cooper.

Stephanie (My Wife now) agreed to drive as well So I am planning on Driving her front wheel drive Focus this year for the entire season... she says she can beat me...  I told her we could double my time and if she still beats me I will buy her anything on the menu at the pizza joint after!   For Kicks I may bring out my Green Audi that is sitting out back to double dip.

I find it hilarious that there is a category for all-season tires in the registration. Is anyone really going to make a go of it in all-seasons? On ice?

I was surprised there weren't more last year! I have a few customers with IXs as well, I'll try and point them in the right direction.

Zach, I've been recording until all hours these days, I'm pretty sure those tires are still at the shop though. Maybe I can through them on for you next week sometime?

I think you had to pre-register for the event? Not entirely sure, the update I received was part of a broader Club email for the winter months.
