I'm currently an instructor with BMW and Audi Club chapters from White Mountain Chapter, down to Virginia. I've been an instructor for 3 years now. I own a SPEC Miata, of which I'm trying to keep my MazdaSpeed sponsorship, by competing in at least 2 competitions each year. Because I only do DEs, I don't have any times to post to Mazda to keep my discount (cost) sponsor.

I'm trying to look into doing an autoX with BMW, as I did a few years ago, but now I have a family.

My wife's tolerence for doing car events is thin, but I need to squeeze in at least two autoX this year to keep my sponsored status. If I bring my 8yo son, then I get best of both worlds: car day with father/son day.

I would never leave him alone in the parking lot, so I'd have to bring him with me on my runs.

Is it acceptable with BostonBMW to have an 8y0 child in the car for an autoX? Assuming that he's properly strapped in AND has an approved helmet?
