Newfound Lake is our primary Ice Racing location. Directions to our traditional site at the Ledges are below. In the uncommon occurrence that we run at an alternate location on Newfound Lake, the revised directions will be distributed via the Ice Racing Bulletin and posted on the website. On the rare occasion when we cannot run on Newfound, Stinson Lake is our alternate lake. The Ice Racing Bulletin will always specify if we will be running at an alternate site or lake, so be certain to subscribe and check.

Directions to Newfound Lake Site

  • Ice Races are held at the Ledges Condominiums on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire.
  • From the South: Take I-93 North to Exit 23 in New Hampton.
  • Turn left off the exit ramp onto Route 104 West. (Dunkin Donuts and gas stations are to the right.)
  • Proceed 6.0 miles through the center of Bristol. (best place to get gasoline, food, Dunkin Donuts, etc.)
  • At the light, stay straight, now following Route 3A North for 1.7 miles.
  • Turn left at the flashing yellow caution light onto West Shore Road.
  • Proceed 1.6 miles, passing Shackett's Store (open?) along the way.
  • Take ninety-degree right turn to remain on West Shore Road. (ice cream stand on corner – not open!)
  • You will reach the Wellington State Park entrance after about 8/10ths of a mile.
  • Continue on West Shore Road for another 1.3 miles to the Ledges Condominiums.
  • Do NOT drive into the Ledges Condominiums – This is a change from past years.
  • Go BEYOND the Ledges entrance about 500 feet and turn right through the gate onto the ice (watch for BMW Roundel signs).
  • Park on the ice and walk across the street to the path up to the Clubhouse, where Registration is located.
  • For directions from other locations, please contact the Ice Racing Coordinator.
