1. President's Report (Fred Beck)
2. Vice President's Report (Maria Anggraeni):
- No speaker lined up yet for third quarter meeting. John Sullivan working on for second
quarter meeting at Herb Chambers.
- Will do Holiday party in same place in January like the 3rd week in January.
- Anne Marie Weber is taking charge of the hot line.
- John Sullivan working on putting an even together in Rhode Island. Bob Sweeney is rep
for RI, need him to take lead on this.
3. Secretary's Report (William Farnsworth):
- Minutes from the previous meeting were unavailable to be handed out.
4. Treasurers Report (Bruce Augenstein):
- A little under $39,000 in the bank account. Working to get issue resolved with Soverign
Bank and Fleet Bank for a switch over for $20,000 in operating funds and $20,000 in
savings.
- This amount does not include June BMW CCA check.
5. Membership Report (Barry Tarr):
- 61 new members, 2628 current members, 228 associate members for a total of 2856.
- Barry was supposed to work on a plan for mailings. He will do that.
- Wynne Smith stated our chapter is 40 members short of being the 3rd largest chapter.
6. Advertisers Report (Suzin Koehler):
- Need to send out statements for invoices.
- Rim & Wheel Works coupon in last BIMMER was incorrect.
- BMW Parts locator will stop advertising as he is selling business.
- We need to put Suzin's name on the masthead.
- Summer Picnic - 36 people have signed up so far. How about getting a post card out
promoting picnic.
7. Bimmer Report (Justin Hughes/Suzin Hoehler):
- July/August issue was out a few days late. Justin has an article surplus at the moment -
good problem to have. Sullivan has technical article on "Off-set".
- Greg got FTP site up and running. All pictures on web site back to '97.
- Discussion regarding putting parameters around posting - How about Justin FTP'ing a
quick blurb on the web site, can we do this? Justin will get in touch with Greg regarding
timeline for posting to the website.
- 160 people now on the autocross e-mail list. Currently sending any major e-mail with
each individual as a blind copy so no one can get the list and solicit.
- Getting scanned prints to Greg - find some other way to do this. Suzin is doing some
now. Justin to put a proposal together to the board for what he needs to get his job done
- including a scanner.

9. Concours Report (Dan Mull):
- German car day - 124 cars, 1,000 people. Do we have a group membership with the MOT? Dan
to look into this.
- Castle Hill - Saturday night auction and BMW members are invited. How can we add Boston
chapter to this? Warren really wants presence. Paul Williams and Warren want BBQ or
something.
10. Driving School Report (Joe Marko):
- 32 people have registered for Bimmers Across The Border. There will be a welcome
reception, gymkhana, beach BBQ, 2:00 tour of the track - no camera's or video allowed.
They are positive about doing club events - would like to have our weekend around the
Blues weekend next year.
11. Autocross Report (Aimee Reveno):
- 3 events down, 5 to go. Full house at last event. Have a wait list for this weekend - 80
people.
- Events working much smoother.
- Investigating timing equipment - doing more research.
- Anne Marie Weber: Overwhelming support for safety school with significant others.
- Fred: There may be some additional days that could be run at NHIS, but it takes 3 hours
to get set up.
12. Karting Report (Vassilis Kontoglis):
- Close to putting together a carting ad for Karting.
- Talked with F1 Boston they need to know how many people and dates for events.
- We are thinking of 6 events $300/person for season plus license.
- 20 people have expressed interest so far in a league.
- This is proposed as a break even event for the moment. Had 100 people at last event.
- People would have to pay money up front and have checks payable to F1 Boston.
- Events would on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
- Need to clarify policy around if there is a blizzard during the winter and people
couldn't make it.
- If we have a lot of interest, we can do multiple leagues.
- We can also do a 1 hour enduro event too.
- September or later for White Mountain (Chapter Challenge) event.
Motion to end meeting - Motion was voted on, vote was taken, motion was passed.
