November/December 1999 BIMMER Turns To Take

Watch The Sign

by Maria Anggraeni

Fall and winter are here at the same time for me and maybe for you as well. But the fun is here and will stay with us throughout the year. We have a few upcoming activities this month.

Maria Anggraeni

Mark your calendar for November 6th from 10 am to 2 pm. William Turner and Steve Fitzgerald will share their racing experiences with us at The Race Talk in Boston Performance Group. I encourage you, especially those with brave hearts, to come and learn more about racing. They will talk and show you videos of racing. Those who are involved directly with professional racing, please come and share your knowledge. At least, those of us who are seriously thinking of going into racing can get the most updated information from the right people. Don't miss this event! For more information, please call me at (781) 895-9808 or email me at maria@boston-bmwcca.org.

[Webmaster's Note: Race Talk has been postponed until sometime in 2000. Please check out new event The Older We Are The Faster We Was on Saturday November 20, which is similar to Race Talk. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.]

November 7th 1999 is the Autocross Shootout at Rockingham Park. This is where all the most talented drivers from all classes will compete for the best time. For more information, please call Fred Beck at (781) 979-5686. So come and support your friends!

On November 13th, 1999 Robert Bentley Publishers will host a tech session at their office in Cambridge. The topic will be OBD II. They will explain all about it, so if your car has OBD II, make sure you come to this event. Those of you whose cars are not OBD II should come as well. This informative session will benefit everyone. For more information, please check our web site or call Charlie Burke at 1-800-423-4595.

[ Webmaster's note: The OBD II Tech Session has been postponed until next year to allow Boston Chapter members to attend The Older We Get The Faster We Was on Saturday  November 20. A new date has not yet been set for this tech session. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.]

The Fourth Quarter General Meeting will be held on November 17th at BMW of Peabody. Don't miss this event. Please read the column for this meeting. I encourage all of you to come and put your ballot in. Let your voice be heard by your elected officials!

Due to unavailability, we will not be having our Holiday Party on December but we will have our Holiday Party on January 8th to celebrate the Millennium. So please make your RSVP soon.

If you want to get involved, just pick up the phone and call. Let's work together and have fun! If you have any question or comments, please feel free to contact me. I hope to see you at the next event!
