Present: Mike Webb, Bruce Augenstein, Fred Beck, John Mansfield, Joe Marko, Dan Mull, Sue Rathbone, Luka Serdar Jr., Alenka Serdar, John Sullivan Jr., Barry Tarr, Ann Marie Weber, Peter Weber, Greg Scott.

1. Call to Order (Mike Webb)

• Mike called the meeting to order and handed out a copy of the agenda.

2. Secretary's Report (Espen Frank)

• The minutes from the last meeting (November 19, 1997) were printed in the April 1998 BIMMER and on the web site. The minutes were accepted by the Board.

3. Vice President's Report (Mike Webb for Neil Schneider)

• Neil was unable to make the meeting due to business related travel.

4. Treasurer's Report (Bruce Augenstein):

• A present the chapter has about $6,000 in cash in the checking account. Accounts payable balance is zero. About $700 balance remains in Accounts Receivable.
• The Chapter's financial data is being moved to Quickbooks, which was recently purchased.
• Investigation continues into using second class postage for the BIMMER.   The projected savings is substantial.

5. Membership Report (Barry Tarr):

• The current chapter membership is at 1985 full members and 142 associate members.

6. BIMMER/Web Site Update (Greg Scott):

• The Autocross course map and autocross results have been posted to the web site thanks to Fred Beck's efforts.
• The BIMMER will be going to 28 pages very soon now. The additional postage and printing costs are negligible.
• Ron Sisco has signed on as a staff photographer. We hope to have more pictures in the BIMMER with coverage of all events.

7. BIMMER Advertising (Will Farnsworth):

• BIMMER advertising is up.
• Collections for 1997 and 1998 advertising is proceeding well.

9. Autocross Report (Fred Beck):

• Attendance for the first Autocross was 75 drivers, about 50% of which were BMWs, a major improvement over last year.
• The number of entries for Autocross was quite large. There was discussion on what to change for next year. It was decided that nothing should change for the rest of the season except to enforce timely closing of registration.

10. Driving School Report (Luka Serdar, Jr. and Joe Marko.):

• Alenka Serdar handed out the 1997 financial report for the Driving School.
• In April there will be a school and club race at NHIS.
• August 1st will be a regional club race at Mt. Tremblant. August 2nd will be a national club race at Mt. Tremblant.
• There will be a White Mountain Chapter club race on September 20 at NHIS.
• There was some discussion about incidents at the drivers schools and club races.

11. Concours Report (Dan Mull):

• This year's concours will be held at the Museum of Transportation on Saturday September 12. More information will be published in the BIMMER.
• An organizational membership has been established at the Museum of Transportation, which allows for admission discounts.

12. Regalia (Mike Webb):

• The Regalia position is now open.

13. New Business (Mike Webb):

• There was no significant new business
