New Deadline; Classifieds

by Armand Aquino

Summer's finally approaching! I think that we've had a long winter. I love skiing, but we really didn't get a consistent amount of snowfall to make that enjoyable. Instead, we got a whole season's worth of snow in one, huge, snowstorm. Then, it stayed relatively chilly for a while. But anyway, store the snow boots, take out the roller blades, store the skis, and take out the mountain bike. Oh, whip out the tennis racket and golf clubs, too! Like others I know, the trunk of my car is starting to look like a sporting goods store. Hmm... I wonder if I can build shelves in there...

Anyway, as summer approaches more activities are beginning to occur. This is great since we auto enthusiasts can now bond with our cars in groups as opposed to doing so in solitude. But unfortunately for me, managing the newsletter becomes more of a challenge due to the greater amount of articles and information that needs processing. So, in order to have a bigger lead time, I am moving the deadline for submissions to the 10th of every month. The next issue will be an exception.

Apparently, we get a "breather period" where the July and August issue are one and the same. So, the deadline for the July/August issue will be on the 10th of July. Please keep in mind, however, that we are limited to 24 pages and that we may process articles on a "first come, first served basis".

On a another note, we cannot make use of our classifieds section for "business advertising". The classifieds section is reserved for club members who are trying to sell their cars and other auto related items. As long as you are a current club member, you can advertise to sell any items. Please also include your membership number with every ad. I believe that I have also allowed non-BMW autos to be advertised (BMW ownership is not necessary to join the club). If you are a club member and own a business, please advertise in our newsletter through our advertising manager.
