| I am interested in participating in some of the autocross events. Will an M2005 helmet be acceptable? Also, is there a full face / open face policy for a closed car? Thanks!

| follow-up question: can I go with either sa2000 OR sa2005? Will SA2000 limit my ability to compete in track events?

We use current -1 versions of Snell M or SA helmets. Since helmets ger recertified every 5 years, we accept M2000, SA2000, M2005, and SA2005.
From our autocross description page:
Tech Changes
As the new Snell 2005 helmets have been readily available for two years now, we will only allow participants to use 2000 or newer Snell-approved helmet. Both Snell SA (special applications) and Snell MA (motorcycle) ratings are accepted. Loaner helmets are limited, but available, so feel free to come if you don't have your own helmet. Only use the helmet during your run, as others may want to use these same helmets. Helmets found that pre-date our requirements will be confiscated for the event, and returned at the end of the day.
See you on the tarmac!!

| thank-you very much for your replies. I will be on the lookout for an open-face helmet for the next event.
