| | I have a 2003 525i with a 5 speed. I hate the CDV. How difficult is it to replace the CDV with an aftermarket replacement (Bavarian Autosport Unlock Valve) that eliminates it? |

| | On E36 M3's, all it takes is a couple of flare wrenches. When you remove the Clutch Delay valve, you don't even need to replace it with anything, just push the two lines back together and tighten. Good Luck

| Check out this Zeckhausen article You can get a dummy CDV from Dave Zeckhausen as well. Call him up. He's a really good guy and will answer all your questions.

| As indicated above, replacing the valve is easy.
Just make sure you get a buddy to help you with bleeding the air from the clutch hydraulic system. If the car creeps forward when you put it into first gear, or if the clutch grabs soon after the clutch pedal comes off the floor then you probably still have air in the system.
Good Luck!
