| | I have a 2000 528iT wagon with 282,000 miles on it. I have a vibration that starts about 62 mph and goes to about 70 mph. Other than that range, it runs smooth. I had this problem with my summer tires and I thought it was the tires. They need to be replaced next spring anyway. I put on my snow tires and have the same problem. I now think it is a suspension issue. I just had my lower ball joints changed this week and that did not help. Any suggestions on a fix or on a suspension/tire wheels specialist in the area? |

| | Any play in the tie rod ends? If you jack the car up and tug on the wheels (both left to right and top to bottom), do you feel any play? Also, grab ahold of the strut and try to wiggle it - there is a bearing at the top of the strut, it may have play. Good Luck.

| | You should also have the thrust arm bushings checked. This is often the 2nd thing to go (after tie rod ends). The front strut mount bearings are a longer-wearing item, usually changed at the same time you would replace the strut shock-absorbing cartridges. |
